Casient advanced wireless
sensors
Casient has developed an RF technology that uses mesh architecture
to ensure that the resilience customers’ demand is met. This
technology is called Shoal.
Simon Cowley, Business Development Director with Casient explains:
“Shoal based devices deliver the communications resilience of cabled systems in tandem with the functionality and ease of installation of a wireless system. All devices in the mesh cooperate to ensure that a message reaches its destination. Interference and physical obstructions are automatically bypassed by the Shoal mesh. It is this self-healing property, coupled with other sophisticated RF techniques, that gives Shoal its unrivalled resilience.”
“Shoal was conceived and developed specifically for building
controls and can be optimised to suit the differing and demanding
requirements of a specific control application.
